We know how much time and money you are investing in your vacation, and we know you will have
questions. To save you time and, hopefully, help you in your planning process, we have tried
to anticipate and provide answers to the most frequently asked questions we hear in our
office:
Do I need to check in at the office?
For your convenience you will
check in directly to your vacation home! All your paperwork is done upfront when reserving.
When all monies have been received, we will send you your access codes required to gain
entry into your home. These codes will access the door keypad or lockbox at your home, to
obtain your key. They may also, if necessary, include security gate codes, if your home is
located in a gated community. Once you have received these codes, simply obtain driving
directions to your home via your GPS or Google Maps.
What time is check in?
The regular check in time is 4:00pm, Eastern
Time. An early arrival can only be arranged if the home does not have another guest’s
departure scheduled. This option is only available within 7 days of arrival, but must be
arranged in advance and cannot be added on the day of arrival.
What time is check out and what should I do upon check out?
Please
remember that check out time is no later than 10:00 a.m. unless prior arrangements have been
made with our office (407-787-4026). Make sure to check you have packed all your personal
belongings. The management cannot be held responsible for any items left behind. The house
keeping staff will arrive shortly after 10:00am to perform a routine inventory and home
inspection of the house, so please be sure to report any damages or breakages during your
stay prior to your departure to eliminate any claim on your security deposit. Please
remember to close and lock all windows and lock the front door. Make sure you return the
house key to the lock box to avoid unnecessary charges to the security deposit, and have a
safe trip home.
Is there daily housekeeping?
Your rental fee includes one clean which is performed
upon your departure, unless stated otherwise in your rental agreement. Our office must be notified on (407
787 4026) if additional cleaning is requested, rates & availability will then be advised. A minimum of 24
hour notice is required to provide this service.
What happens if personal belongings are left behind?
The management
cannot be held responsible for personal items left in the homes once you have checked out
and left the area. If you should leave something behind, and contact us within the first
week after you’ve checked out, we will be happy to ship the items to you. However, you would
be responsible for the cost of shipping. If the item is not claimed within the first week,
unfortunately, we must dispose of said item.
Are pets allowed?
Although we at Active Vacation Homes are pet lovers,
it is with regret that we do not allow pets in any of our vacation homes.
Are the houses fully equipped?
Whilst each home is furnished to the
owners taste, all come fully equipped, with washer, dryer, iron & board, hairdryers,
linens, towels to cover maximum occupancy for the home, TV’s, some with games rooms, some
have spas, all villas have pools and all come with a fully kitted out kitchen. You will have
a starter pack of: toilet roll and soap in each bathroom, and dishwasher soap. You will need
to bring food, drink, toiletries, trash bags and liquid detergents enough to carry you
through your vacation.
Where do I get supplies from?
There are retailers only minutes from
each holiday home for your comfort. We provide a very informative Visitors guide in each
Vacation Home, showing locations, and directions to all amenities.
Is smoking permitted?
Sorry all vacation homes are non smoking homes,
smoking is only permitted outside.
How many people can stay in the home?
There is a maximum occupancy
notice in each home it will state “Sleeps up to _ “ this is the number of people allowed to
stay in the home, and by state law occupancy must not exceed this. Maximum occupancy
includes infants & children.
The following outlines the maximum occupancy for each
home:-

3 Bedroom sleeps maximum of 8
4 Bedroom
sleeps maximum of 10
5 Bedroom sleeps maximum of 12
6 Bedroom sleeps maximum of
14
7 Bedroom sleeps maximum of 16
Unless stated otherwise.
What is a Master bedroom?
A Master bedroom will consist of a King or
Queen Size bed, nightstand, dresser and TV, with private access to a bathroom. Some Master
bathrooms do have access from a second entrance.
Is there a pool & spa, & is it heated?
All villas have a pool, some come with a
spa, and this will show in the “Amenities” for the home.
Pool heat can be included at an additional
cost and can be requested, either at the time of booking, or you can contact us on (407 787 4026) before
your arrival. A minimum of 5 days is required.
Is there transportation, or shuttles, to the theme parks?
Since we have many
vacation homes scattered over a broad territory, it would not be possible for Active Vacation Homes to
offer any sort of transportation or shuttle service. There are however, many transportation companies
readily available.
Is there a Jacuzzi or Hot tub?
Some homes have a Jacuzzi built into the
pool and are only heated if the pool is heated (i.e. you have purchased additional pool heat
or the water is already heated due to warmer summer temperatures). These are NOT “Hot Tubs”
and will not reach the higher temperatures usually associated with hot tubs. Is there
transportation, or shuttles, to the theme parks? Since we have many vacation homes scattered
over a broad territory, it would not be possible to offer any sort of transportation or
shuttle service. (In comparison, the cost of daily parking at the theme parks is much
cheaper than the cost of shuttle service arranged by most of the local hotels.) Also, using
your own transportation gives you the flexibility to come and go as you please, instead of
being held to someone else’s schedule. If you still have questions which were not answered,
